Partial Hospitalization Program:

The partial hospitalization program is the most intensive level of treatment offered at H.S.A. Counseling, Inc.  Client's may enter this level of treatment as the initial phase of treatment following evaluation. Some clients will be referred from a detoxification or in-patient rehabilitation program as a step down from more intensive treatment.  Other patients may be stepped up to this level of care if treatment is unsuccessful at a lower level of care.  Partial hospitalization day treatment is currently only available in our Lancaster Office.

The Partial hospitalization day treatment program at H.S.A. consists of 16 hours of intensive group therapy per week.  The groups currently begin at 9am and run till 1pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  In addition to the group treatment, each client receives two individual therapy sessions per week.  Individual sessions are scheduled each week with the client's individual therapist to meet the needs of the client.  In addition, Family Therapy sessions will be scheduled as needed throughout the client's stay at this level of care.

As with all treatment at H.S.A. Counseling, Inc., the partial program is treatment plan driven.  Each client entering the partial program will develop an individualized treatment plan with their therapist.  The goals of treatment in the partial program are specific to the areas of the Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria that must be addressed in order to allow the client to transition to a lower level of care.  Clients making successful progress at this level of care are normally stepped down into Intensive Out Patient treatment.  All treatment plan goals and action steps are reduced to writing and signed by both the client and the clinician.  Treatment plan reviews are conducted weekly for clients in the partial program.

Client's whom are referred into H.S.A. Counseling's partial program form other D&A treatment providers will be referred back to that agency when they have progressed to the point where the level of care offered by the referring agency is clinically appropriate for the client.  With proper confidentiality releases regular progress reports and case consultations will be conducted with the referring agency.
