Agency Philosophy: Substance Abuse is prevalent throughout our
society today. Many people see these problems as moral issues however
here at H.S.A. Counseling we understand the complex nature of addiction
problems including both the physiological and psychological aspects.
Addiction is a diagnosable treatable medical condition. Our clients are
given the respect any person seeking medical treatment deserves.
We also understand the effects that addiction can have on the whole family.
We encourage participation in treatment by all those touched by the addicts
illness.
The initial phase of the treatment experience is the intake/evaluation.
This phase consists of collecting psychosocial histories from the identified
client along with any collateral data available. Emergency needs are
also evaluated and addressed during this phase. The goal of this phase
of the treatment experience is to determine if a substance related condition
exists as well as what type of treatment is clinically appropriate.
Upon completion of the evaluation clients are offered admission into one of
our three levels of treatment or referred to another provider for clinically appropriate
treatment. If no Drug and Alcohol problem exists clients may be referred
for other types of treatment.
Funding Options: H.S.A. Counseling accepts most commercial
insurance. We also participate with many HMO's and PPO's. For
those without Health Insurance we are participating with the Department of
Public Welfare accepting both the medical card as well as Health Choices.
